Always Abounding

The Corinthian church had been marked by division, favoritism, immorality, lawsuits and by doctrinal confusion, yet at the end of Paul’s first letter to them we see his affection for them. In the last verse of the 15th chapter his final loving encouragement reminds them and us that with God, failure is never final.

58Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
