When The Wheels Fall Off
Pilots of commercial airliners are very familiar with what is referred to as "clear air turbulence." It cannot be detected by radar, and consequently the plane and its passengers find themselves bouncing without warning!
We go for periods of time in apparently clear skies, only to be hit suddenly with the turbulence of failure, disappointment, stress or loneliness. Just as pilots are trained to deal with these circumstances, so we need to be trained in order that we do not lose our equilibrium.
These studiesoffer a healthy does of biblical realism that will prove to be a useful, preventative, and restorative medicine.
