While the story of the Samaritan woman at the well is a familiar one, that fact should not leave us unmoved by its truths. Guest speaker Dick Lucas turns us to this classic account to demonstrate its frequently overlooked Trinitarian nature. Through their encounter, Jesus offers to this woman the gift of the Spirit, the privilege of worshipping the Father, and knowledge of Himself, the Son—the same gifts He offers to all of us when we believe upon Him.
42They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.”
