Have Mercy

Christ’s command “Love your enemies” is simple to grasp but difficult to obey. Because of sin, it’s hard enough to love anyone, let alone those we perceive to be opposed to us. Yet if Jesus’ instruction is only understood and not practiced, we show friends and enemies alike an inaccurate picture of God. Alistair Begg exhorts us instead to show the world, with our words and our actions, the mercy that we ourselves have been shown.
