Life, liberty, and happiness are discovered not in independence from an earthly king but in dependence on the Lord Jesus, teaches Alistair Begg. Our lives are frail and brief, and we are born spiritually dead—yet true life is provided through Christ! By His sacrifice, He sets us free from our slavery to sin and passions and desires. This good news is the ground of true happiness, secured for us by the Lord Jesus Himself.
