Listening, Belonging, Trusting

Luke 8:16  (ID: 2121)

After telling the parable of the sower, Jesus turned the disciples’ attention to the importance of hearing His words. The parable of the lamp exhorts listeners to be careful how they hear Jesus’ words so that His light will shine through us and before others. Alistair Begg helps us understand what it means to heed Jesus’ teaching especially concerning the question asked by His mother and brother: Who belongs to the family of Jesus?
