Salvation

Luke 2:30  (ID: 2364)

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, the angels introduced Him as the Savior—someone the Jews of that time had long awaited. Jesus’ contemporary Israelites were hoping for a nationalistic salvation and judgment for their Roman oppressors. Instead, to their surprise and often their offense, Jesus offered forgiveness of personal sins. Today, we also tend to look for the wrong kind of salvation. Alistair Begg challenges us to accept Jesus’ diagnosis of our condition and His forgiveness for our guilty hearts.
