Voddie Baucham teaches from Paul’s final letter to Timothy, encouraging pastors with the truth that a shepherd who preaches must be a shepherd who prays—and the shepherd who prays will always be a shepherd who preaches! If a preacher finds himself at a point in life where prayer is absent, it’s a sign that he is moving away from the dependence on God that ought to be the very foundation of his ministry.
3I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day.
