James, John, and Peter were eyewitnesses to Moses and Elijah’s appearance and Jesus’ transfiguration on God’s holy mountain—and they were determined to accurately report what they saw. Yet to those who weren’t there, their story may seem strange. Alistair Begg helps us understand that this event was intended to give a temporary glimpse of Jesus’ heavenly glory. When Christ reveals Himself to us, we are called to simply believe.
