Verse of the Year — Part Two

Psalm 138:2  (ID: 1585)

Most people think that religion begins with humanity’s quest for God. In contrast, the Bible tells us that we can only know God as He reveals Himself to us. If we want to find any meaning in the universe, we must start with the Word as written in the Bible and incarnated in Jesus Christ. Alistair Begg teaches us that God’s Word is not only an antidote to our current age’s confusion but also the key to our own lives’ transformation.

2I bow down toward your holy temple

and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness,

for you have exalted above all things

your name and your word.1
