1 Corinthians 15:3–4  (ID: 1101)

Man’s moral dilemma did not take God by surprise. Before time began, Jesus made a covenant with His Father to save His people from their sins. What Jesus did in life and in death actually accomplished something, Alistair Begg explains. Christ was a substitute and bore the wrath of God in place of sinners. The punishment that we deserved was put upon Christ. We can now be free from the guilt of sin if we believe in this amazing work.


3For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,
