The Kingdom of God, Volume 1

Look out the window of an airplane from 35,000 feet and you’ll see patterns and dimensions in the landscape unobservable from ground level. Look at the 66 books of the Bible through a similar wide-angle lens and you’ll discover far more than a collection of disjointed writings. The Bible is one book, inspired by one author (God), with one supreme subject, Jesus Christ. In a sweeping study from Genesis to Revelation, Alistair Begg shows us how the storyline of the Bible reveals God’s master plan to establish His eternal kingdom. Beginning in the Garden of Eden, we see a model of what God intended His kingdom to be – a place where His people live under His rule and blessing. But Adam and Eve reject God’s kingship bringing death, rebellion and sin into the world. By nature mankind follows their rebellious path, while longing for a perfect king to save them. The world is progressing towards God’s intentional conclusion where all of God’s people will live in God’s place under God’s rule and blessing.
