The church needs revival; it needs the Holy Spirit to breathe new life into it. Alistair Begg reminds us that by holding to the basic fundamentals of our faith, we may look to the Lord for blessing—and without them, we will only see decay. The authority of Scripture, the sufficiency of Jesus, and the priority of prayer are necessary foundations for the life of the Christian and the growth of the church.

16dAll Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17that ethe man of God2 may be complete, fequipped gfor every good work.
