Every day, we are confronted by threats to our joy—feelings like gloom, pessimism, anxiety, and depression. For Christians, these problems may cast doubt on our claims to know joy in Christ. Yet as Alistair Begg teaches, real joy is not defined by emotions or entertainment but by our Savior, who brings godly contentment and gratitude. By relying on Jesus and staying in fellowship with Him, we can experience true joy in the midst of trials.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
