Christ’s Commission to His Church

Matthew 28:18–20  (ID: 3638)

The commission Christ gave the church is not a responsibility for a few people. Throughout the Bible, it is evident that the Gospel is to be taken to the whole world by the whole church. Yet despite the clarity in Scripture regarding this mandate, some hold lightly to Jesus’ call to make disciples of all nations. Alistair Begg emphasizes that there will be no widespread evangelization unless the work entrusted to us by Jesus is committed to by all believers.

Topics:

18And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in2 the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
