The Parable of the Good Samaritan

Luke 10:25-37  (ID: 1542)

When a Pharisee questioned Christ about what he must do to gain eternal life, Jesus set before the man an impossible standard: perfect love for God and man. Alistair Begg challenges us to see ourselves in the Pharisee’s realization that he had fallen short of God’s standard and was in desperate need of another means of salvation. We, too, must embrace our need for Christ and His love displayed on the cross, which compels us to live for God’s glory.

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

25And behold, a lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
